PLÁMÁS is an exciting new addition to Galway’s bubbling, bohemian Westend. It’s all about living, and loving, local!

PLÁMÁS, meaning “to flatter” as Gaeilge, is a word which captures the craic, mischief, sense of divilment and community spirit of Galway. The new coffee shop and retail space of the same name on Dominick Street hopes to capture all that makes The City of the Tribes so special, too.

Compass, the coffee served at PLÁMÁS, is roasted in Tuam by Geometry Coffee and provides the perfect balance of sweet, smooth and bitter tones to make for an energizing cup. There is also a gallery space to promote the work of local artists and craftspeople. Here you’ll find stunning photography prints of our favourite places as part of The Galway Photography Project, locally designed streetwear from Story Tailors, books about and inspired by Galway, perfect gifts for the Galway lover in your life and lots, lots more.

Located in a building which was previously a bakery in the 1950s and ‘60s before being used as office space in recent years, PLÁMÁS is now home to a little taste of all that makes Galway so special. With everything from art and coffee to sustainable lifestyle products and streetwear, PLÁMÁS is a spot that you’ll love to pop into every time you’re out and about down the Wesht.

The team at PLÁMÁS purposely chose to set up shop in Galway’s Westend as the vibe and ethos of the area is exactly what they hope to capture in this new space. The Westend is known for great food and especially great coffee, with an unrivaled atmosphere. PLÁMÁS is proud to be another member of this community and they can’t wait to meet all the locals.
